Hi Everyone! I hope you are enjoying the holiday season. I know it’s been nearly two months since I last posted but I have a good reason….we bought a house. We have been so busy with our jobs, the anniversary-birthday-palooza, packing, and moving out of the rental (goodbye ugly teal galley kitchen) that I can’t believe it is almost 2009. We are now living in the far, far northwest suburbs, basically where country meets suburbia.
Last night, Rob and I went out to look at Christmas lights. I found out that about 15 minutes from us, there is a house with a synchronized light show (in Pingree Grove, IL). It was fabulous! You have to visit their website and watch the videos. I wish my parents were out here for Christmas because they would have loved it. You tune into the music on your car radio and just sit back and watch the lights move to the music. If you are anywhere near Pingree Grove, it is worth the drive to see it. We had so much fun watching the show. We stuck around for about four songs. Here is a photo I took of the house but go check out the videos on their web site.

Of course, I figure I better post a food picture too for the holidays. I just made some biscuits for our Christmas breakfast with Whole Paycheck jam and Earth Balance. Due to our move, I ran out of American Spoon jam. The horror! The biscuit recipe is from How It All Vegan.

Happy Holidays!
