Woo- you made magic avocado! I’m so glad you guys liked it, it is definitely a favorite around here. And that dip looks so good-I’m always looking for different ways to make bean dips/spreads. Oh, and what’s not to love about Super H mart? Every time I go to visit my mom down in VA, I beg her to take me there. I mean, an entire aisle, just for noodles? I’m in heaven. =)

Free stuff – cool! We don’t own a microwave, either (well, technically there is one in our apartment that is built-in, but we don’t use it). Ours broke a couple years ago and we thought “how can we ever live without one??” and now we don’t miss it at all. I don’t really feel comfortable using something to prepare food that has the nickname of “nuke.”

    mmm bean dip!

Oh wow, trip me out, Emmy!! I spent a lot of my youth in Niles, Illinois… I grew up in Skokie, y’know…

Mmmmmmmmmm… black bean dip. YUMMERZ! Too much red onion? Is there really such a thing as too much onion? *debating in head*

*sigh* There are times like this when i wish i liked avocados, i would try that magical one you did up so beautifully … i’m the weird veg that doesn’t like it. It’s the texture more than anything… Never have been able to get into it. But it sure looks pretty!!

Let’s hear it for free stuff. You and Rob and i think way alike…

Everything looks so good, as usual. I’m going to try that bean dip. I love free things too — how cool that they offer that to their customers.

Love the avacado idea. Sounds like some real finds at the supermarket.

Sara, yes, we’re definitely going to make the bean dip again. The green onions I also bought at the same time were really strong too. Hopefully I’ll get better onions at the store this weekend. *fingers crossed*

Kleo, I thought of you while we were in Niles 🙂 I remember you telling me you grew up in Skokie and knew it wasn’t too far from where we were.

Vicki, Rob said he’s going to try it this weekend and I’ll post how it was. He tried the rice yesterday and said it was surprisingly pretty good.

    Thanks Ruthie 🙂
