Ooh nachos! The lentil soup looks a lot like the dal I made this week. I don’t think I eat enough lentils, and they’re so tasty and quick to make.

Love the bowl set. Are those glass spoons??

Your soup looks so good. I have an unopened bag of lentils in my cupboard I need to use up!

Love that little serving bowl set! I’d be excited too :o)

I’m fascinated by that nacho tray- I’ve never seen them in stores! Somehow, I bet it would make nachos taste even better. And your bowl set is so cute! It has a real 50’s/60’s feel to it- stellar find!

I enjoy that cookbook… there is a lot of old world knowledge in it.. of course, a lot of the food grosses me out, but that’s OK.. it still has good vibes and I like reading it.

Lovely photo.. even if it is blurry..

Thanks for the nice comments everyone 😀

Kati, yep, the spoons are made of glass, they look like mini-ladles but are the size of a spoon. The set was missing one spoon but at that price, I can’t complain. But I can complain about this rainy weather. It’s so dreary out. The rain and thunder woke me up this morning around 3am. Ugh!

Bazu, the nacho trays are from Sam’s Club. I like to use them for nachos, sometimes for veggies and hummus, and of course when I make soft pretzel sticks (like what the mall food courts sell)…I like to dip mine in pizza sauce but Rob always fills the sauce area up with mustard. Ewwww! LOL And you’re right, these trays make food taste better…much more fun to eat food out of them. 😀

    The nachos look muy grande!

The Mennonites don’t exactly have the wrong ideas on too many things, food and life included. Bet that cookbook gives very good insight into a simpler, healthier life.

Nothin’ like lentil soup. Love the colour!!

P.S. Thanks very much for the e-mail letter you sent… LOVED it. Will get back to you soon!
