My mom and I went to Target this weekend too, and she scored a few things from the Easter clearance (cute socks with chicks on them, and a cute bucket). I love post-holiday clearances!
I know what you mean about wanting the seitan more spicy. Even the spicy pepperoni could have been spicier for my and Daiku’s tastes. We even used regular (hotter) paprika instead of smoked, and I would still recommend upping the spices, since you and Rob also like things hot.
You know, I actually do like the Luna sunrise bars, so I’ll look for that box. It’s a great deal- I’m just not sure my Target carries it.
Can’t wait to see the Fire King find!

I really want to make Seitan too. It looks amazing. I just have to get the nutritional yeast, which I am having some difficulties finding at the moment.

Emmy, thanks for the book and website recommendations, I will check them out. I would really like to try to make the recipe for seitan. What did you do with yours? Sandwiches?
Sara, oh my goodness, I forgot to mention how I used it. Duh! Rob claimed half of it for sandwiches, I cubed some and added it to pasta sauce, and then I kept a few slices to snack on. The recipe itself is really easy to make…I just have to tinker with the seasonings so it’s not so mild. I also just tried the spicy seitan pepperoni which I’ll be blogging about either tomorrow or Friday. I liked that even more than this.
You’re welcome for the gardening book recommendation. I like You Grow Girl because it’s not one of those dry, stuffy gardening books. Oh, and check some of your local garden centers/greenhouses…often they have free container gardening classes 🙂
etu seitan o greatness. This is everywhere and looks great! The fireking score is wonderful, I really like the peach color and soup bowl with handles.
That television series sounds really good, but I don’t think we get the Sundance channel. I’ll have to check.
